The main distinguishing feature of the Tarantula TSQ subwoofers is the square cone. This solution allows to increase the cone area by as much as 36% compared to subwoofers of the same size but round shape. Therefore, we get a very serious gain in the real sensitivity of the subwoofer head. Subwoofers are available in two sizes (10 and 12 inches) with two options for the resistance of the windings of the dual voice coil (2 + 2 ohms or 4 + 4 ohms).
With a dual 2.5″ voice coil, a generously sized double magnet, and plenty of air vents, the Tarantula TSQ can handle 500W of power without any problems. The honeycomb cone has the required rigidity, and the multi-profile surround guarantees low distortion even at very high volumes. One-sided screw connectors greatly simplify the switching of the head windings and reduce the length of the speaker wires.
